Forest Brook Farm’s Facilities
The Barn
Forest Brook Farm offers a 17-stall barn with an extra-wide aisle, hot and cold water wash stall, attached indoor arena, and individual lockers for each horse’s tack and grooming supplies.
All stalls are 12’x12’ and feature direct access to individual run-out paddocks, allowing horses increased freedom of movement. Doors to these paddocks can be closed in case of specific horse needs or extreme temperatures.
Arenas
The property features two spacious arenas, including an attached 70’x185’ indoor arena, accessible from the barn aisle, as well as a fully-fenced 90’x200’ outdoor arena with angular sand footing.
Turnout
In addition to run-outs attached to their stalls, horses are turned out in large pastures individually, or in groups of up to 4. Horses at Forest Brook Farm are typically outside between 6 and 24 hours a day, depending on individual needs, weather, and daylight hours.
In the event of prolonged severe weather, horses will receive a minimum of 2 hours of turnout in the indoor arena in groups of no more than 2.
Trails
Located at the end of a road which turns to dirt and enters the Mendon Town Forest just after passing the farm’s driveway, Forest Brook Farm is afforded access to town forest trails via a less than .1 mile walk from the property to the trailhead.
