“DIVA” // 16.1hh // age 16 // thoroughbred mare

Diva is a super sweet mare coming off several years of semi-retirement as a result of having an owner who travels frequently for work. This has backtracked her progress under saddle to put her back in the “green horse” category. She was only lightly raced and comes without your usual OTTB baggage, but is a naturally “hot” horse who currently requires a confident and quiet intermediate to advanced rider to handle her on the ground and in the saddle. Prior to her time-off, Diva was schooling courses up to 3’ and competing very successfully in jumper classes up to 2’6”. She gets auto-changes, is a beautiful mover and could likely excel in any discipline with the right person and some work.

Diva’s ground manners are excellent with the right person; she does not bite, kick, attempt to pull away from handlers, etc., but her high energy and oblivious disregard for personal space requires an attentive handler who can give her frequent reminders to respect their space. Diva loves to be groomed and bathed, will stand for hours on the cross-ties, and trailers well. She is currently barefoot but may require front shoes with an increased workload.

Half Lease: $500/month // Full Lease: $800/month
